Stuart Anderson's
Black Angus Restaurants |
|
Stuart Anderson’s Black Angus Restaurants have
been using the Monitor at their back (kitchen) doors for the past few
years.
Management appreciates that the Monitor is effective against the
back door being left unattended. The Monitor creates a control
point which is held by the Chef or person in charge of the kitchen.
No one without a control key can open the door without the alarm
sounding and bringing attention to what might be coming in, or going
out of the kitchen.
The units are easily installed and have proven to require very
little maintenance. Service and delivery of the nits has been
efficient and timely.
Sincerely,
Facilities Manager

| The introduction of the use of Monitor back door
alarms has been a tremendous success for our company. Our records show
an approximate 30% reduction in food loss through the back door.
I strongly believe the addition of The Monitor back door alarms has
been a significant factor in regard to the reduction of loss of food
from our restaurant. In our restaurant the Monitor had paid for
itself within 60 days. I would highly recommend the Monitor to
any business who’s profit is walking out the back door.
Sincerely,
Project Manager

| We have tested and approved a back of the house
alarm system. This system would replace your door Push Bar Alarm
system.
The Monitor has been tested at M/C#76, Orange, CA. Manager Bob
Beckman said, “ The system is a “Pain” at first, but once you
get use to using it you would not want to live without it."
You will have to arrange installation- Approx. 2 Hours.
Features: Only Manager has the key to disarm and access the system.
The kitchen manager or assistant will have a key to increase time
available to have the door open. There is a 5-10-20-40 minute
delay when programmed to open the door, or the alarm will sound.
System is hooked up to 110 volt with a battery back-up. If wires
are cut, the alarm will sound. You can have up to 5 sensors
installed (Doors, Liquor Storage, Meat Lockers.)
This system is designed not just as an alarm system, but a way of
cutting food cost. Please consider replacing the battery door
Alarm System.
Thanks,
Purchasing Administrator

| This letter is to notify all stores that Research
and Development Department has tested and approved a new product for
use in your stores. This product is known as The Monitor 4000.
The Monitor 4000, is a replacement for the conventional back door
alarm. We have tested this product for more than two years in
various locations and found it to be extremely effective in
controlling food costs by controlling the back door in ways that no
other system can.
This alarm will not allow anyone to leave the back door propped
open after they finish using it. A siren will go off after a
specific period of time letting you know someone has forgotten to
close the door. In addition, the alarm automatically resets
itself the moment the door is closed eliminating anyone ever having to
remember to turn it back on. Additional features include a
continuously charged backup battery system and the ability to use one
alarm on more than one door. This system is inexpensive and easy
to install.
Our long term tests have shown a consistent food cost savings on
units using the system. This system is a positive addition to
our constant effort to increase security and profitability in your
units.
Sincerely,
Project Specialist

| We tested one of your “Monitor” back door alarms
for over one year in our KFC restaurant in Visalia, California.
Since then we have installed four more units. While pilferage is
a hard thing to put a dollar amount on, I can assure you that our
restaurant managers and supervisors feel very much more in control of
a tough security area.
Your installations have always been prompt and professional.
Thank you for your state of the art “Monitor” back door alarm.
Sincerely,

| I trust you have received our orders for the new
restaurants in San Jose and Porterville. Our operations
department has been quite pleased with the Monitor back door alarm
system. Simple to install, the clearly audible alarm lets the
manager know every time the door is not secured. The timing
device, set at 20 minutes, definitely motivates delivery men to check
orders quickly.
Sincerely yours,
Director Of Properties

| Taco Time International |
|
As you know we have been testing The Monitor 4000 door alarm
system, for a couple of months at our W 11th restaurant. We have found
the system to be very effective. We would like to go ahead and
purchase The Monitor 4000 for our West 11th Taco Time restaurant in
Eugene, Oregon.
Some of the benefits and features that Randy Steig, Restaurant
Manager, found unique were:
1. There is no hardware that is connected to the actual door.
2. The Monitor 4000 does not require batteries, it just plugs in to a
normal electrical outlet.
3. The Monitor 4000 appears to be a solid unit and has held up well.
4. The system monitors the back service door in such a fashion that it
gives Randy or the Manager in Charge, complete control over who goes
in and out of the restaurant's back door.
5. It also acts as a normal security alarm.
At the same time we installed the test of The Monitor 4000 we also
installed the Doorscope which allows a person inside the restaurant to
stand up to 7 feet away from the back service door and see exactly who
is at the door.
sincerely,
Director of Facilities/Distribution

I recently purchased an alarm system from your company and I must
tell you how wonderful it works. The alarm sounds loudly and clearly
at any unauthorized movement. This has helped my business
tremendously! I no longer have to monitor my rear entrance because
"The Monitor" does it for me.
I have also found the system to be easy to operate. Since a simple
turn of key will disable the alarm, I still feel that I have full use
of the back door. Deliveries to the restaurant are also made easy by
the delay timer. As you recommended, I have set the timer for a
specific time period, and if the door is left open after a delivery,
the alarm sounds. This feature has made receiving deliveries more
convenient.
What more can I say about "The Monitor"? It works!
Sincerely,
Managing Partner

We installed our first Monitor Alarm System one year ago with the
hopes of getting control of the back door of our restaurants- The
results of this system have been wonderful! The main reason being that
this alarm system is always on, and can not be turned off or tampered
with. We have seen improvements in both food and paper costs. A safer
environment has also been created for our employees due to the fact
that this system limits the time that the back doors remain open thus
deterring possible intruders. We have also put this alarm on the doors
leading from our work areas to the restrooms for security as well. The
fact that all of the doors work off the same system eliminates the
need to purchase a second system; or second set of control keys.

Dear Mr. Barr:
This is just a short note to let you know how impressed we are with
the Monitor alarm which was installed at the rear kitchen exit in our
Clarion, Pa. Perkins Restaurant.
The unit has been installed and working for about 5 months and we,
have had no problems. Two of the features which we feel are most
important are, 1) the unit cannot be turned off unless a key is used.
Management has the only key. And, 2) the alarm on the unit is very
loud. No mistaking the sound when the back door is opened by an
unauthorized person.
We feel that the alarm has helped us control inventory. For
example, management is always present when deliveries are made, thus
not allowing any unscheduled or unwanted deliveries. Also, it prevents
any inventory from "walking out" our own back door.
The unit has provided safety and security and piece of mind for
management in that they always know who is coming in and leaving the
store. The installation of the Monitor alarm has prover, to be
everything -v;p were told it would be.
We look forward to continuing our business relationship with your
company and installing more alarms in our Perkins Restaurants.
Sincerely,
Sr. V.P. of Operations
